FIRST ANNIVERSARY IDEA - A BOUDOIR PHOTOSHOOT

PAPER ANNIVERSARY

Has it really been a year since the wedding? How time flies! One minute you're walking down the aisle... and suddenly your first wedding anniversary is coming up.

Now, to celebrate that first wonderful year, an amazing gift is a must... but what should it be? Well, lots of people like to follow the traditional anniversary gift conventions, and as we all know the first anniversary is the paper anniversary (Paper symbolises the blank pages on which you write the newest chapter in your life. )

There are many paper gifts you could give, such as concert tickets, a piece art or a novel, perhaps, but nothing could beat the care and thought which is a book of amazing pictures of you, looking incredible.

For those women searching for something totally unique, a glam or boudoir Photoshoot is perfect for you both. For one thing, it will empower you and give you so much added confidence in your self worth. You can push yourself a little to the edge or just outside your comfort zone. The Photoshoot can be Glam/Beauty style (Think fully clothed like Audrey Hepburn or a Hollywood Movie Star) or Boudoir Style (If you’re feeling a little bolder. )

Many of our clients made a Boudoir Book as a special and unique Wedding Gift and then decide to come back and do another photoshoot but this time with a slight change of style for their paper anniversary.

Giving the gift of a boudoir album is not only extremely personal, it's possibly the most fun you can have creating a gift.

Not only does it make a great gift for your spouse, the truth of the matter is that taking part in a boudoir session is such a positive and uplifting experience for you, too. It really is a gift that is treasured (and appreciated) for many years.

Boudoir can fit around your personal style and comfort level

If you're a bit more conservative then we can make it more fashion style. Dresses, jeans and T-shirts, stretchy jumpers, all are good.

For those who want to show a bit more of their wild side, then that’s fine too. Lingerie or even completely nude are often requested and, of course, all your pictures are private so it’s just for the two of you. (All the pictures on our website have been for clients who are so proud of their pictures that they’ve given us permission to share)

Then, after your session is completed a lot of the fun is putting your custom album or book together to create the perfect gift.

CHOOSE YOUR BOUDOIR PHOTOGRAPHER CAREFULLY

Word of mouth recommendation is a great way to find a Boudoir Photographer.

If friends you trust have had a photoshoot before then they’ll tell you what to expect. Most of our clients come through word of mouth referrals. Good photographers who want to build a strong business over many years know that client satisfaction is crucial and they’ll go the extra mile to look after you, before, during and after your shoot.

Failing anyone you know recommending someone, you could search for reviews online. Check their Facebook page and their website for client endorsements.

Lots of positive endorsements is always a good sign.

You’ll find facebook allows clients to review their experiences and these aren’t editable by the vendor so are a good source of reliable references. (Ours are here for example : https://www.facebook.com/pg/MadisonBou4boudoir/reviews/ ) and we also have a clients page on this website with pictures of each client along with their stories. HERE )

PLAN AHEAD

Give yourself plenty of time.

It can take a couple of months or so from when you first start planning, till you have your finished photo book in hand.

Boudoir photography isn't something you should book on a whim. We’ll always talk to you at length to find out as much about your personal style as possible. We’ll help you with outfit ideas and arrange a suitable time for your photoshoot. (We only book one client a day. Many studios book multiple shoots but we prefer a more bespoke, personal service. A Boudoir Photoshoot is not something to be rushed. Certainly not if you want something personal. )

After the day of the shoot it takes some time to edit the pictures and you’ll be invited back a week or so later to view them all. That’s when you choose your favourites for your Paper Anniversary Gift and since everything is printed on archival papers in some of the best vendors in Europe, this takes time. (Up to three weeks. )

The wait is worth it. What you’ll receive is something that will last for several decades.

“From the moment I walked in to my session I had booked, I felt completely at ease, I loved my makeup and felt very beautiful! Dave knew exactly how I wanted my shots and made the whole time fun.

I started the session just wanting underwear shots but was totally comfortable with topless,

I would recommend this experience to anyone who is considering booking, beautiful surroundings and a fantastic day will be in store,

Many thanks I absolutely love my photographs xx” … Michelle (Pictured Below )
