We need to love our bodies, because when we do – it shows… We are who we are, so smile, stand up and dance….
After lock down body and body confidence at a low… so I went and had a photo shoot to take me out of my comfort zone…
So these pictures will inspire me to get back into shape, and love the skin I’m in!…

“My passion for Burlesque started over two years ago when I saw a movie that inspired me. So I went on a hunt trying to find classes.
I found a Burlesque group in Barnsley, signed up, and well let’s just say the rest is history.
I’m in my mid 40’s, and have suffered from body confidence most of my life, but by becoming a Burlesque performer it is teaching me no matter who we are it’s what’s insides that counts . I have ALWAYS love to dance, so I have allowed the music take over my core once again, and my sassy/sexy side is coming out.
So summer 2018 I debuted my 1st solo, and my passion for Burlesque was totally ignited, and has become my drug. The more I learn the more I yearn.
I love to captivate my audience by giving them a transfix moment, but one that will also inspire YOU to have a go, because we ALL have a sassy sexy side within us, but we push it aside, as life gets in the way…
Burlesque shows you that can be YOU, so no matter age, size or gender, mix your passion for music sprinkle it with I CAN and see what happens…”

What was your reason for wanting to do the shoot?
Put some confidence and and sparkle back.
I’m camera shy as it is, but thanks to covid, I had lost the little camera confidence I had.

Would you consider another shoot in future (Perhaps changing the style to family/boudoir/kids/headshots)

What would you say to anyone else considering a photoshoot like this?
No matter who we are, most suffer in some way with the way we look.
We don’t see what those around see, because we are so self critical… So doing something like this, took me right out of my comfort zone, But Dave is such a gentleman, he puts you at ease, and within a few click, well you relax and have fun.
Do something for YOU… As you have something to remind you how fabulous you are..
