Unlike many High Street Studios, we use a variety of different locations which you can choose for your vary own Boudoir Photoshoot. Here, for example, is a super sexy boudoir style shoot at the Great Victoria Hotel in Bradford in one of the most luxurious and sexy penthouse suites in Yorkshire. We’ve photographed in this Penthouse many many times and it’s still one of our favourite locations. Twin baths at the end of the bed, a stunning walk in wet-room and gorgeous furnishings with lavish curtains. Just about everything in this stylish and contemporary suite is perfect for a boudoir photoshoot.

This was fun day in Leeds with Catherine returning to us for her second photoshoot.

Of course clothes have practical uses, for warmth and nettle protection and for fashionable looks etc.... but after talking about this to dozens of people and photographing many more, even in ideal, warm, dry conditions we would still wear them.

Largely because of 'shame'. That negative emotion associated with negative self evaluation.

We feel we're not quite perfect enough somehow and don't want others to see our imperfections.

Why are we so scared of being seen naked?

Shouldn’t we should try and improve our body image and accept our flaws and realise every 'body' is perfect?

Carpets of bluebells are one of the greatest sights of spring. You can see the magical transformation of our woodland floors from late March.

Bluebell Season always seems to signify the start of Summer and are one of the most exciting sights to photograph during our year. Especially when part of a Boudoir session such as this one with Leah. We chose a super quiet midweek day so things would be as private and quiet as possible at Hazlewood Castle. Almost no cars on this day at this time. Perfect. Leah had just got fully naked and suggested we photograph her up a tree. (Some people are a little crazy!!) Once there, the photographs began and that’s when an Uber driver (The only car for an hour) decided this would be the perfect place to park up and enjoy his sandwich. What could Leah do? Wave and smile at Mr Uber, she had a laugh about it afterwards and it certainly made for a memorable shoot.

How empowering is this? For those looking to build self confidence, this is one of the ultimate shoot experiences.

Not all of our Bluebell Wood Photoshoots are nude, many are in amazing dresses or lingerie, but all of our woodland shoots result in incredible pictures which would look stunning as pride of place on any wall.

Being a woman is often difficult.

Women are excellent multi-taskers by nature, and as a result, tend to wear many different hats throughout the day.

There are children and friends and husbands and significant others and work to think about, let alone hobbies and school PTA meetings and housework and a million other things.

Unfortunately, with all this ‘busy’-ness, something usually gets left out.

Yet when you wear no clothes, you cant hide behind a facade. These pictures are entirely about you and you alone. Your body language is all you have. Your eyes will speak volumes. It can seem a very vulnerable place to be, naked in front of the camera, yet, it can also be the most empowering thing you’ll ever do.

We know getting naked in front of strangers is really scary but rest assured, professional photographers and stylists will never judge you. We’re not looking for flaws, we’re looking to bring out your natural beauty. Our aim is to show you just how beautiful you really are so that you can see yourself in a new light. Experience has taught us a lot about lighting and posing and of course post production to ensure we get the best out of you and most importantly of all, of course, is that if you can be made to feel relaxed, you’ll look relaxed and powerful in your pictures.

We don’t care about stretch marks or love handles, bingo wings, bags and sagginess. Those will all magically disappear in front of our camera. We know the flattering angles and the flattering lighting. It’s our job and we’ve been doing it a long time.

All our photoshoot experiences start with a consultation. Either in person, on the phone or via email questionnaires.

We ask about the ‘level’ of the experience you’d like. Fashion (all clothes), a bit of Boudoir, a bit of both, topless or caution to the wind naked. More often than not, women find the experience so uplifting and empowering that they end up going up a level.

We all have a ‘comfort level.’

That place we feel safe day to day.

This includes, what we eat, how we dress, where we go on holiday and yet sometimes, when we step out of this comfort zone and discover new things, we also learn something about ourselves.

A Madison Bou Photoshoot Experience will never push you beyond your comfort zone. That’s your choice. Often though, the further you go, with outfits, with posing, with attitude, with hair and make-up… The more you invest of yourself in the experience the more you’ll get out of it.

… Such is true of life in general.

Whether you do a boudoir session for yourself or for somebody else as a gift, the one who really benefits from these experiences is YOU.

Why?

Because boudoir is for every BODY and in some cases, it can even change lives.

Again, why?

Well, For most people, taking a good many clothes off and posing in front of a camera with a relative stranger is a super scary thing to do. (By ‘super scary’, think jumping out of a plane scary… but less dangerous!)

Fear of any type is generally quite debilitating but overcoming those fears is actually quite liberating.

Imagine the rush, to overcome a fear of heights and jump out of a plane (parachute on of course) and land safely on the ground. That rush will fill you with so much confidence.

The same thing happens for so many women when they do a boudoir photo shoot. – The initial fear and anxiety, followed by that incredible rush of excitement to see the finished pictures and then, the insane rush of excitement (and pride) when you view them again, and again, and again. (For years to come)

We often say that a Boudoir Photoshoot is empowering yet we are starting to dislike that word.

Here’s an example of a Madison Bou Photoshoot experience which includes a boudoir set in one of the beautiful suites within Hazlewood Castle.

This features the stunning headboard of the Hibiscus Suite. We love the opulence and colour. In the outer suite are the large window frames which work so well for the backlit, high key images.

We also created some great fashion style images outside the entrance to the hotel and in the courtyard and inside in our purpose built courtyard studio.

The weather was so lovely on the day that Holly decided she wanted to try some woodland nymph type shots of a more fine art nature so the day was perfect for this.

Rounding off, we took a short trip over the road to a dis-used petrol station which has a cool urban look with it’s graffiti and car wash and coke machine.
