Divorce Isn't The End Of You - Its The Beginning Of The New You

Booking a Boudoir Session after getting divorced can be one of the most empowering experiences of your life. We hear this from women who have been through this experience all the time.

It’s the perfect way for to take control of your confidence and self worth, even during a terrible time, emotionally. A Boudoir Photoshoot will help you see just how strong you are and to celebrate your femininity. With this experience you will be giving yourself permission to celebrate liberation and be proud of yourself to be able to celebrate the true woman you are now. You are strong and resilient, even in the face of a real life challenge and the feeling you will experience when you get to reclaim your own sense of identity and be able to honour the woman you have become will be truly empowering.

“I was so scared when I had my pictures taken and Dave was so lovely and made me relax and actually enjoy the experience. They made me feel like a special guest and even gave me coffee, sandwiches and biscuits. I do not have a very high opinion of myself and had just been through a divorce and turned 50 and having the pictures done made me find me again..”” … Amanda (Pictured above)

Divorce Congratulations…

No one starts out their marriage with expectations of getting divorced but the unfortunate fact is that according to recent divorce statistics, 42% of marriages in the UK end in divorce.

The latest statistics show that 108,421 couples divorced in 2019!

When a woman has got to the point of signing the divorce papers, she has had plenty of time to come to terms with the decision after much heartache and deliberation. The pain of divorce may well linger for many years but for many women, much of the worst is over. For those in a positive mindset, they can even start looking toward a brighter future. The rebuilding process starts here.

Many women come to us to help find the person they once were, before divorce took over their lives. They come to us to ragain their lost confidence and maybe even ‘celebrate’ their new found freedom.

Freedom to do what they want without answering to anyone else.

Sure, initially the short term future may seem a little lonely for many women, but it doesn’t have to be that way.

It is important though to rebuild that sense of self worth, that sense of inner strength and this process can take time.

The saying “Every door that closes another one opens” is so true with divorce. For those of a positive mindset, this could be an opportunity to celebrate.

Celebrate being single, celebrate being free, celebrate the start of a new, exciting chapter.

“My relationship was failing and I had little or no self esteem. I was terrified but loved some of the shots on your website. Best thing I ever did or could have done though” … Michelle (Pictured below)

For us, A ‘Divorce’ Boudoir Photoshoot Experience often has a totally different energy to other boudoir photoshoots.

For one thing, a divorced woman is doing this entirely for herself and not for others.

She can really own her own ‘sexy’ without fear of judgement.

The experience can help her rediscover her beauty, her confidence and it can help her rediscover her power.

Confidence comes from within and this is why this experience is so empowering.

The experience to do this for oneself and no-one else is a truly powerful thing…

At the end of your post divorce photoshoot, why not trash your wedding dress. After all, you won’t be wearing it again so why not go crazy?

We’ve been photographing ‘Trash The Dress’ Shoots ever since we started showing pictures like this on our Wedding Website, nearly 20 years ago. The ‘Trash The Dress’ movement started in America and was never intended to be divorce related but was really aimed at those couples who wanted to celebrate their wedding with some artistically inspired pictures they could hang on the walls. Often, the dresses weren’t trashed at all, but worn on the beach or on horseback or in a non-wedding environment. Of course, it soon became a perfect way to signify the end of a marriage by destroying the dress and that’s when we began to get more enquiries from divorced women.

Out of all this creativity can come great emotional healing. Like a photographic Primal Scream!
