CHEAP BOUDOIR PHOTOGRAPHY IN YORKSHIRE
Ah-Hah! Caught You!
So, you want “Cheap Boudoir Photography in Yorkshire”?
Nothing wrong with grabbing a bargain. There are, after all, a million Groupon Deals out there…
Imagine for a minute, you’re scrolling down your Facebook feed and someone’s posted this –
“Any recommendations for a cheap gynecologist? Need an annual exam done but don’t want to pay an arm and a leg!”
Nothing wrong with that of course.
After all, it’s no bother, sitting in a paper gown, on a table, with your legs in stirrups and a cold speculum waiting, is it?
In fact, if it’s a lot cheaper, who cares if it’s a real doctor.
Can’t be that difficult a procedure, surely anyone can do it.
… Scrolling down Facebook a little further and someone else has posted this
“Any recommendations for a cheap boudoir photographer? I’m not shy about getting near-naked in front of a stranger, just want a picture for social”
I hear of women all the time who want to go with the ‘cheapest’ because they love a bargain.
Don’t blame ’em. Who doesn’t love a bargain?
Yet, a bargain should at least provide what you want out of it.
Sausages for 20p with a ‘use by date’ today are a bargain if you fancy sausages for tea.
However, that 20p is a waste of money if the use-by date was last month.
A cheap boudoir photographer is hardly a bargain purchase if you come out of the session feeling ‘dirty’ and hating the entire experience.
It’s certainly not a ‘bargain’ if, when you look at your pictures, all the things you hate about your body are still there.
What they say about photos is true – The camera never lies and it really does make you gain 10lbs.
(Actually, it doesn’t. - A bad photographer makes you gain 10lbs!)
If you have any hang-ups whatsoever about the way you look, remember this –
A cheap gynecologist can cause you serious injury but a cheap Boudoir Photographer can cause you serious emotional damage.
If truth be told, almost every single woman who comes to our studio has hang-ups.
Hang-ups about their body, their hair, cellulite, weight, thighs, bingo wings, you name it..
Our job is to show you that none of that matters, and how the right posing and lighting can make a world of difference.
We’ve been photographing boudoir for nearly 20 years.
It’s an art form that needs mastering.
It’s why we’re not cheap.
Art is an incredibly subjective thing and when you first go about choosing a Photographer to photograph your Boudoir Experience it’s easy to become overwhelmed with the sheer number of options out there.
We always suggest that the most important thing to do is to find a photographer who’s style resonates with you.
Are the pictures you see online the kind of pictures you’d love to have of yourself?
Everyone has a different opinion on what they like from pictures. Some just don’t see the world in a very visual way and literally have no clue as to what makes a good or ‘bad’ picture. As a photographer, I find these kind of people quite frustrating since I view the world very visually. I watch films and see exquisite use of lighting setups and others just don’t care about piffling little details as ‘cinematography’.
We all see things differently and that’s the wonderful thing about being human.
Some people don’t care about colour toning or ‘styling’ and some people are more opinionated about that kind of stuff.
Do you prefer Black and White or colour, or doesn’t it matter?
Of course, there’s no right or wrong answer to this question, it’s ‘art’ after all and what’s important is what you like.
So, this article is about choosing between the vibrant palette of full-colour and the more nostalgic, classic style of black and white which you’ll see quite a lot of when you go searching for your Boudoir Photographer.
