Emily suffers from long term M.E.

It took years to diagnose it and she was lucky to have tremendous support from her husband, Craig. 

Emily and Craig reached out to us to create some beautiful pictures they could both enjoy for many years. Emily wanted pictures like this for her husband to enjoy as much as she would and the effort it took to do the session was exhausting for her. She arrived in her wheelchair and we took things really easy so that we didn’t drain too much of her energy. Towards the end, we could tell she was getting tired so we suggested she returns after a few days rest to do the woodland shoot she was so looking forward to. 

The results were exactly what they were looking for and Emily tells us that all the pain was worth it for the pictures she ended up with.

We know that for many people, posing in front of a camera is a daunting experience.

It’s taken us years to learn the art of relaxing clients in front of our camera. It’s a combination of great direction, calm temperament and good conversation. (Dave spent 2 decades working as a Radio DJ and learned the art of conversation during that time. I worked as a dancer for 20 years and know the art of dramatic posing and great poise. These skills work to our advantage when we work together to make you feel confident and camera ready. )

We started photographing couples as we began the business photographing brides and grooms for weddings. We would always schedule an engagement shoot first with the couples in less formal outfits and less formal venues so they get used to the experience of being photographed. It was essential because it also gave us the opportunity to get to know one another and the closer we became, the better and more natural the pictures.This led us to create more fashion styled couple photography for our discerning couples. These couples were drawn to our work because it reminded them of the fashion style magazines they would read.

Of course, you don’t need to be getting married to enjoy a couples photoshoot. It’s a perfect excuse to spend some time together and create a document of your life story together.

How often have you had amazing experiences with your partner, but with no evidence to show for it? - That’s what this experience is for.

Our photography sessions are a great excuse to really have fun together. The resulting pictures will show you exactly as you are together. Totally in love and having fun. Oh, and super glamorous to boot!

No pressure, we take care of everything. Location, we advise on outfits if you need it, we’ll stylise and help with posing and make you look like being photographed is the most natural thing in the world.

Of course, Boudoir can be a really private experience, but for some women, it’s a perfect opportunity for some mutually positive re-enforcement. Getting moral support from your bestie is such a wonderful thing. Plus it’s a great way to ease the nerves if someone you love and trust is with you through the experience.

A Bride will often come with her Bridesmaid as a special treat for them both and the bride will often hide the expense in with the overall wedding budget. It’s a great way to treat the Groom to a sexy and personal wedding gift and also to say thank you to the chief Bridesmaid for all the prep work she’s done. Win, win for everyone.

A Boudoir Party is also a perfect way to celebrate a 30th, 40th, or 50th birthday or even a ‘divorce party’ .

“After a tough year, we didn’t feel very confident (I’d put on weight and Danny has lost it) and didn’t feel ready for a photo shoot. Getting to the studio and looking at the glamorous photos on the wall, I thought I’d never look anything like those pictures. However, I began to relax with the friendly makeup artist and Dave being attentive to the different outfits we’d brought, analysing the styles and colours and matching them to locations. We thought Dave was fantastic at directing us into positions and reassuring us that we were doing well. That really put us at ease and before long we started to enjoy the shoot and the time flew by! The pictures were incredible! Our shoot proves that you don’t have to be feeling your best to look your best, especially when you have an expert photographer to guide you. Many people think that boudoir photography is just a once in a lifetime experience. For some, that is true, but for most – it shouldn’t be! Just like a yearly visit to the doctor or a day of pampering at the spa, having a boudoir session is a great way to feel better about your mind, body and soul! Also, it’s the perfect excuse to try something a little different second time. Different outfits, obviously, but maybe something outdoors, maybe a little more of the shoot in dresses this time or maybe be bold by wearing a more daring outfit or fully nude. The choice is yours.
